Frequently asked questions

Can I convert a .txt file?

Yes. Click “Open .txt file” or drop the file onto the page. Other plain-text files such as .md, .csv and .log work too.

Which languages are supported?

Latin-script languages (English, French, Spanish, German and more) and common symbols. Characters the standard PDF fonts can't show — for example Hindi, Arabic or Chinese — are listed before you create the PDF and appear as “?”.

Is my text uploaded?

No. The PDF is created by your browser on your device.

Will tabs and blank lines be kept?

Yes. Blank lines stay, and tabs become four spaces. Choose the monospace font to keep columns aligned.
