PDF to Word

Convert PDF to an editable Word document (.docx) with paragraphs, headings, bold, sizes and images — in your browser, never uploaded.

Edit your PDF in Microsoft Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice. The converter rebuilds the text as real paragraphs — with headings, bold and italic text, font sizes, alignment and images — so you can change it like any other document.

The conversion runs on your own device. Your PDF is never uploaded, which makes it safe for contracts, CVs and other confidential files.

Frequently asked questions

Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?

Text documents such as letters, reports and CVs convert closely. Complex layouts — several columns, text boxes, forms or decorative designs — may need touch-ups, because PDF has no paragraphs or columns of its own. Use “Exact look” if appearance matters more than editing.

Can I convert a scanned PDF?

A scanned PDF contains pictures of text, not text. The tool tells you when it finds no text; use “Exact look”, or make the PDF searchable with PDF OCR first.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The PDF is read and the Word file is created by your own browser.

Which Word versions can open the file?

The .docx format opens in Word 2007 and later, Word for Mac, Word online, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Pages.

Is PDF to Word free?

Yes — free with no sign-up, no email and no watermark.
