Split PDF

Split a PDF into several files: click where to cut, split every N pages or by page ranges. Free, private — split in your browser.

Break a long PDF into smaller documents exactly where you want: separate chapters, invoices or scanned forms, or save every page as its own file.

The PDF is split on your own device, inside your browser. It is never uploaded, so you can safely split contracts, statements and other confidential documents.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free to split PDF files?

Yes. Split PDF is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on pages.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Your PDF is split by your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and the new files are created on your device.

How do I save every page as a separate PDF?

Choose “Every N pages” and keep the number at 1. You get one PDF per page, which you can download together as a ZIP.

Can I choose exactly which pages go into each file?

Yes. Use “Custom ranges” and type one range per file, separated by commas, for example 1-3, 4-8, 10. Pages you leave out are not included.

Will splitting reduce the quality?

No. Pages are copied exactly as they are — text stays selectable and images keep their quality.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Not directly. Remove the password first (you need to know it), then split the unlocked file.
